one minute to load
just to get into this page i had to wait for a minute. terrible laptop. i wish jackson would stop messing with it.
there's something i thought i woulda forgotten about the very next day but wadda, it's still right here with me...
was out with boyfriend the whole day on saturday (7th day or what they'll call ren ri). had a bad morning with the whole family arrowing each other. wilson and i trying so hard to remain neutral but was shot anyway. mummy had to make a fuss outta every little thing. jackson getting way outta hand. it didn't end up too bad since everyone just took a step back except for jie, ever so determined. up till today she still deny jackson the usage of the internet. poor fella could only indulge in self-pity in hopes that jie would buy that but seems it didn't work out very well on her.
after steamboat with family, boyfriend and i went out. i always make it a point to oblige no matter how damn tired i was. i know he didn't need that but still, it wouldn't feel right. i can no longer recall where we went to after that but this freaking incident just wouldn't get off my mind...
i was craving for carl's junior so he took me there. after we're done eating, he said it's time we head home and hell, i was happy. i've always trusted him despite the number of times he's proved unworthy of it, but right then, it was a very bad move. he went right past amk ave 3 exit and i thought because i was talking too much he lost concentration and missed it. so i paused a little and noted out to him. to my horror, it was intentional. he said he wanted to take the longer route and i assumed it to be ave 5. he went past that as well -_-. afterwhich i stopped talking altogether.
i felt it was dumb if i still remain silent not knowing where the hell he was bringing me. i had to tell him i wanted to pee so urgently, thanks to the super-sized lemon tea he made. and so i trusted him to find me the nearest toilet before embarking on his 'adventurous' journey again. by the time that my urgency was made known, the next nearest exit was yishun. good enough, he took it. but instead of turning right to orchid country club for the most convenient toilet, he made a left turn to who-knows-where.
being in his car most of the time, i trusted him still, to know where he's going. but tmd, after that left turn, all i saw was one bloody straight road, dimly lit, no buildings by the roadside whatsoever. i had to ask where he was going and received the reply "shell petrol station". ok, fair enough. but where is it? we kept going further and seems like he had no clue.
the directional sign read 'woodlands rd', my face turned lime green i guess. what's worse was that "eh?" from him. immediately i felt like a dead fish. he had to make things even more difficult for me by trying to comfort me, tapping on my thigh. i wanna piss so badly that i got so pissed, but figured that talking wouldn't help me either so i kept very quiet.
the roads just kept going on and on for the longest time ever even though boyfriend was already driving at 140km/h. and it was super promising with all the trees by the side and half lit lamp posts. it was so ulu that the wise management will not even waste an extra sum of their money to fully light the lamps. NO BUILDINGS! NO! we came to this junction which looked hella hopeful. i read the signboard again, 'BKE-SLE left. BKE-KJE right' and we can't even be sure if it's a dead end ahead. NI TMD. either ways, we're dead. or at least, i am super dead.
let's see where we went past. chong pang, sembawang, mandai, woodlands, kranji, choa chu kang, senja rd (siami lor?), before finally seeing buncha delightfully working traffic lights. i knew help was near. to my left read 'bukit panjang'. yay. honey i bet you don't even know how to get there if you really needed to but what, we're at bukit panjang! he desperately drove around that unfamiliar town, needing just one petrol station but found a coffeeshop first. i hate coffeeshop's toilets. hate! didn't look like i have much choices cos i definitely would not prefer peeing in my pants.
lucky thing they stepped up on cleanliness of public toilets. and then boyfriend had to pump petrol. from half tank, he was left with almost nothing. a petrol station was 3-minutes drive away -_-. arrrrrrrrrr.
"time to head home", boyfriend said. i was freaking happy that i fell asleep. comfortable nap.
the very moment i opened my eyes again, i caught sight of amk ave 5's signboard. "honey, u past that again. u coulda exit from ave 5."
"huh. no la. i going the other way."
"what dya mean? after this is ave 1 which is further from my house."
"i mean i going the other way. SLE. we are going dam. this way is towards SLE."
SIAMI! which means my ave 3 have long past. no more amk exits. i had thought he took BKE-SLE-CTE (which ave 3/5 would come first, followed by 1). but fuck. it was the other way round. PIE-CTE-SLE (in order 1, 3, then 5). SIAMIIIIIIIIII.
i wenta his house to bai nian earlier. for years i've been invited but i never made the attempt. and since i was so free just now, i thought it would only be polite to do so. moreover his dad has been expecting me since eve.
everything was okay, till i was asked to face him. for years that unexplanably sad face i've been trying to avoid, but today i cannot look away.
i'm sorry i didn't say much to you. it's always harder facing you. and even harder with your dad watching. long time no see, but i know you must be doing okay. i didn't mean to get all speechless. and yea, chowyunfatt has been taking very good care of me. i don't know if it's because of you. he's been of an enjoyable company. he still squabble with people pretty much, just like how he did with you.
